Story

In Loving Memory of Daniel Dunn

On 24th October 2026, our world changed forever when we unexpectedly lost Danny, to a sudden cardiac arrest.

Danny was young, healthy and happy. He was full of life, with so much still ahead of him. He was an incredible dad to his two children and two stepchildren, the love of my life, and the apple of his parents’ eye. He was a much-loved son, partner, brother, dad, stepdad, uncle, grandson, family member and friend.

To those who knew Danny, he was so much more than words could ever describe. He was someone whose life revolved around the people he loved. His family was his world, and the love he gave to those around him will never be forgotten.

The hardest thing to comprehend is that cardiac arrest doesn’t discriminate. It can happen to anyone, at any age, even someone who appears perfectly healthy. Danny was just 31 years old, and none of us could ever have imagined that something like this would happen to him.

We are setting up this fundraising page in Danny’s memory, in partnership with AED Donate Community Fund, to raise money towards a defibrillator that will be placed within the community in his name.

A defibrillator can be the difference between life and death. Having one accessible in the community could give someone else the chance that Danny never got, and could mean another family doesn’t have to experience the heartbreak of losing someone they love so unexpectedly.

No amount of money can bring Danny back, and nothing will ever fill the hole he has left in our lives. But if we can help save even one life, then something positive can come from something so incredibly painful.

We want Danny’s name to live on, not only in the hearts of everyone who loved him, but through something that could make a real difference to someone else’s future.

In loving memory of Danny. Forever 31. Forever loved. Never forgotten.
