A Journey to the International Space Station · 6 May 2020

We care for children & young people with life-threatening conditions across Cambs, Essex, Norfolk & Suffolk and support their families. This can be at home, in hospital or at one of three hospices at Milton, The Treehouse and The Nook. We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income.

Story

We are a group of specialist nurses proud to be part of the EACH Symptom Management Nursing Service. We provide families with advice and support to manage their child’s health needs and symptoms, from diagnosis to end of life, and are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The financial pressures on EACH and all charities at the moment is overwhelming - EACH has forecasted a £1.8 million loss of income over 12 weeks - so we wanted to do something really fun that would keep us fit in lockdown and raise much-needed funds.

As a team of 8 we will be walking/running/cycling a total of 500 miles during the month of May. This is the same distance as to the International space station and back (we thought the moon may be a little unrealistic !)

Thank you for reading and hopefully donating !
