To mark the end of infant loss awareness month (October) I am hoping to raise awareness of stillbirths and neonatal deaths but also hope to contribute financially to creating some of the amazing memory boxes that '4 Louis' provide at JCUH and hopefully raising enough money to enable 4 Louis to provide a 'cuddle cot' (approx. £1500.00) at a local hospital.

After losing our son, Alexander, at 24 weeks, we were kindly given a '4 Louis' memory box which we treasure until this day. It includes photos, casts of his hands and feet, muslins and other beautiful items. I can't put into words how much comfort this gave me after having to leave the hospital without our baby. I want other families to be able to have that opportunity and take something away from what is otherwise a truly horrendous time.

The cuddle cot wasn't something that was available to us at the time but such a provision would enable parents to spend extended periods of time with their baby as the cot remains chilled and can be kept in the room with the parents and family for a number of days.
