Some people run for fun. Some run for the health benefits. And some people run to raise money for a RAPTOR theatre suite!

We – my Father and I – are running the Manchester Half Marathon on behalf of the NorthCare Charity to help generate funds for this life changing suite for the Salford Royal site.

We both have an invested interest in Salford Care Organisation and together have worked here for over 45 years between us.

It comes at an opportune time; the Salford Royal site is in an exciting phase of development with the new Greater Manchester Major Trauma Hospital (GMMTH) being built. This building will enable the highest quality of treatment to be delivered to patients in one of the highest quality buildings the NHS has seen. We feel it’s only right that we support and do our bit in fundraising for the RAPTOR theatre. This theatre will treat those with life-threatening trauma injuries by allowing a multidiscipline teams to provide a highest level of treatment and care in one location.
