Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I, Dan Fry, am aiming to run the 2022 London Marathon in full firefighting kit and breathing apparatus (including fire helmet) in aid of the Firefighters charity. In preparation for this event I shall be participating in the Kew Gardens and Bath half marathons all in fire kit and breathing apparatus.

The charity offers specialist lifelong support for members of the UK
fire services community. This includes both physical harm and mental wellbeing.

Over the last couple of years the charity has taken a huge financial hit due to the Coronavirus pandemic. The lockdowns prevented charity car washes, exhibitions, fetes and other such activities from taking place. Therefore I'm hoping these challenges, along with your support,  can help raise as much money as possible for this great cause.

As an active UK Firefighter I have witnessed the great work that the charity can offer through my close friends and colleagues. This is very reassuring knowing that this service will be there to support both my family and I if ever called upon. Therefore I would like to raise as much money as possible to ensure this charity can continue to operate for many years to come.
