“Our mission is to provide emergency food supplies and support to people in crisis, while working with people, communities, and our partner agencies to address the underlying causes of food poverty.”

Story

The Edinburgh Food Project food bank does vital work supporting people in need in Edinburgh. This work has become increasingly important since the beginning of the COVID19 crisis.

When lockdown started last year, Simon and I began by completing sponsored runs to raise money for the Edinburgh Food Project. But, as the need for reusable masks became more evident, I looked out my sewing machine....

I'm now making masks to raise funds for food. All masks are made to order, with over 300 made so far. And my target? £1,500!

I'll be carrying on making masks while they are needed in order to help the Edinburgh Food Project support those who are facing food poverty. I know it's hard to find extra cash at this time - but if you can contribute it would be great!!

And if you would like another mask for you or for someone you know, drop me a message!
