Gareth's River Ribble Paddle Board Challenge

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This Summer (1st to 3rd July) I plan on paddle boarding along the entire length of the River Ribble from river source (Gayle Beck in Yorkshire) to estuary (in my home town Lytham) which is a total of 125km. This challenge has never been done before.
It will be at least a three day endeavour along an isolated river involving two to three nights out wild camping on the river bank.
The reason I am doing this challenge is because my Mother suffered from dementia and I’ve seen the devastation the disease can inflict upon the sufferer and families involved.
I think there will be a partial correlation between the isolation that I will experience on a river for three days to the profound isolation an advanced dementia sufferer will feel every day of their life and this is why I am supporting Team Dementia UK to manage this awful disease.
Dementia UK Provide Admiral Nurses, who provide support for families affected by all forms of dementia.
Please help me raising funds for the Admiral Nurses so that they can continue giving people the quality of care that we would all want for ourselves and our loved ones.
Please give generously to my River Ribble Challenge on behalf of Dementia UK
