The last couple of years have been tough for charities, and in particular those who rely on fundraising projects to generate a much needed income. The Kemp Kids have therefore ‘adopted’ a charity to support for the year. 

In 2021, the Kemp Kids undertook a different challenge each month, to raise money for their chosen charity: Woking & Sam Beare Hospice. Given the success of last year's challenges, the children have chosen another 12 challenges for 2022. They have once again chosen to support Woking & Sam Beare Hospice and are going to aim to beat least year's fundraising total, particularly now that their beloved great-grandfather is being looked after so wonderfully by the Hospice team. 

The children will be donating a proportion of their pocket money each month, and would be very grateful for any further donations made through this page. 

Following on from last years' events, this page will be updated with details of the events and challenges they take part in.

The monthly challenges for 2022 are:  

1. January - Winter Walks 

Unfortunately, two of the children have had to isolate during part of January, and have therefore been unable to fully participate in the Winter Walks. However, the eldest and youngest have continued on behalf of the team, and the two isolating have been doing laps of the house! 

2. February - Keepy-uppy football/basketball hoops challenge 

3. March - Readathon. How many books can they read in a month? 

4. April - Marathon month (they are going to walk, run, cycle, scoot and swim etc 26.2 miles over the course of the month. How many marathons can they cover? 

5. May - Litter picking. How many bags can they fill? 

6. June  - Money makers (car boot sales, lucky dip, online sales etc. Proceeds being donated, of course) 

7. July - sports day challenges 

8. August - Swimathon 

9. September - Quiz hosted by the children 

10. October - Pumpkin contest (prize for the winner)

11. November - Bakeathon 

12.December - Christmas raffle
