Hello, I'm Phil, a Fundraising Coordinator to Guide Dogs in the Wakefield and Pontefract area.
I undertake various challenges and sponsored events to raise awareness and money for this charity.
Guide Dogs are real life changes to blind / visually impaired people but these beautiful dogs do not come cheap.
A Guide Dog costs approximately £50,000.00 throughout its lifetime, none of which is funded by the Government; all costs are funded by donations and fundraising events such as this one. On average each blind person will require three (or up to as many as six) Guide Dogs throughout their lifetime, a total cost of £300,000.00 per person.
Please help us raise money for Guide Dogs for the Blind by donating whatever you can, every single penny helps towards these real life changers.
