I am raising money for the amazing Great Western Air Ambulance! I can honestly say I NEVER believed I would need or see a loved one being air lifted to hospital but last year after a fall down the stairs my fit and healthy Dad was in and out of consciousness and being treated at his home by paramedics who decided that he needed immediate and urgent care at Southmead hospital in Bristol and that the air ambulance and their onboard critical care doctor was required. 

The air ambulance had arrived within 20 minutes and my Dad was assessed, Intubated and put into a medical coma and flown to Southmead hospital in Bristol so that they could scan and check for any head injuries. 

My Dad was very lucky and he was discharged the following day and after a couple of weeks of rest he was back to normal! 

The Air Ambulance provided the transport that my Dad needed to get him to the hospital that could assess and treat his injuries and the Air Ambulance team were beyond incredible - I honestly can not put into words how amazing they are! 

I want to make sure the air ambulance can continue to run and help and save the lives of people that need it.
