A Pink Pantie Ramble · 9 June 2019

St Michael’s Hospice is heavily dependent on the generosity of local individuals, companies, groups and trusts. Did you know it costs around £8.7 million per year to provide our Hospice services? Please support our vital work.

Story

This August, I will be walking the length of Dartmoor National Park wearing my infamous pink panties. These pants cover all of the essentials, so I should avoid any indecent exposure accusations, but they should also provide efficient conditions to ensure everything is well ventilated.

I’ll be doing this 42km walk for personal well-being – but also with the hope of raising a modest donation for St Michael's Hospice. This hike is most definitely an unimpressive feat of human endurance – but for someone who is mostly static, I’m sure my body is not prepared for what's coming (nor the unsuspecting hikers trying to enjoy a nice day out).

St Michaels Hospice is a phenomenal organisation based in Hastings, that provides end-of-life care. I’ve had family members spend time with the hospice – and I know they offer exceptional support for patients and families during times of crisis.

To coincide with my inappropriate pink panties, I’ll be hiking with plenty of suncream (weather dependent), a good quality rain jacket (weather dependent), a rucksack with essentials and a good pair of walking boots.

I’ll be keeping a short vlog of my progress (or at least until my batteries die), to evidence this unmonumental feat. I will be rewarding my top donator with a trophy of their support... my pink panties (unwashed) (this is optional).

So please show me some support and help me reach my humble goal!
