In memory of Harry Shaw
We would love Harry's story to inspire fundraising for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity because only research can stop this awful disease.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.

On 1st June 2019, five-year-old Harry Shaw took his last breath after a tough 10 month battle against Ewing's Sarcoma; a rare bone cancer.

Harry's Giant Pledge will fund pioneering research into a new treatment approach for children with sarcoma cancers. The aim is to test cancer drugs that have been successfully trialled in adults so they can be used in paediatric treatment. The research will combine these drugs with radiotherapy for the first time to make the treatment more effective. Harry's legacy will fund a research team to test this new treatment and help the Harry's of the future.

Harry used to love going to Ferring, going to school and playing with his friends (especially outdoors in Forest School) so we have decided to create a walk specifically with this in mind.

It is roughly 40 miles starting at Ferring Beach and to make it a little more challenging we will be starting our walk at around 9pm and walking through the night to finish at The Hawthorns school in Bletchingley around lunchtime during Harry's Fun Day!

We are grateful for any donations to try and help Harry's Giant Pledge reach their target of £500,000.

Our team so far is Rachel Knight, Paula Hogben, Hannah Knight,
Millie McConnell and Jordan McConnell. (More names will be added as they sign up!)

Thank You
