Breast Cancer Now's wear it pink day is one of the biggest fundraising events in the UK and is taking place on 22 October during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Story

Unfortunately, cancer will affect everybody at some point; whether it's personally, a friend or family member or just someone you know - nearly everyone will have a connection with cancer in some shape or form.  I have personally lost family members and friends to cancer, as well as having other friends who are cancer survivors. There's something very daunting about finding a lump that shouldn't be there and hearing the words ‘It could be cancer’. I've had this journey and luckily my news was good news... but not everyone has this outcome. I urge you all to check your breasts!

The coronavirus outbreak has had a devastating impact on agencies ability to deliver the services and progress that so many people rely on. Research has been disrupted, community support events have had their doors closed, and it is estimated that thousands of people are living with undiagnosed breast cancer in the UK because of the pandemic.

Join me on Friday 22 October, and wear it pink for all those affected by breast cancer. Thank you!
