Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I have chosen to row across Torbay, from Paignton harbour to Torquay harbour in a bathtub in order to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

I am doing this in memory of my mother, father-in-law, and many close friends, all of whom have been taken by cancer. I watched celebrity bake off on Tuesday the 3rd of April and they showed a story about a young family, a father, mother and two children and out of the four members of the family the young boy and mother both contracted cancer. The boy has since died and the mother is now terminally ill. I could not begin to imagine how this family could go on with their lives and that was the final straw for me,  so I felt I had to do something in my life to make some sort of difference for others, whilst I am still fit and able to do so.

This will be from Torquay on 14.7.18 at 11.30 to Paignton around 3 hours later.

Please donate as much as you are able to and help us all to beat cancer forever. This illness is not going away, so we need alternatives to beat it.
