Hubfest 2 is a 19 month programme designed to provide a platform for a diverse range of promising and outstanding young musicians to come together to develop their musical skills, supported and inspired by collisions with professional musicians.

Story

Two years ago my colleagues at Sheffield Music Hub organised a ground breaking Music Festival by Young People called HubFest.

I believe in the life changing power of a great Music Education.

It unifies, uplifts and makes us human.

We can only achieve real diversity in this important work if we truly celebrate MUSICAL diversity. HubFest 2018 made this happen in Sheffield. It was so good, we need to do it again.

BUT - it costs money, and lots of it. So, if you can help please do. We're trying to raise £10k to make sure the festival can happen again in July 2020. With this money we can curate musical collisions between professional musicians and young people from all musical backgrounds to create another ground breaking festival.

HubFest 1 was commended by the Music Education Council for what it managed to achieve.

Let's make HubFest 2020 even better.

Thank you
