Trek for Stroke - Everest Base Camp 2018 · 15 November 2018

When stroke strikes, part of your brain shuts down. And so does a part of you. Life changes instantly and recovery is tough. But the brain can adapt. Our specialist support, research and campaigning are only possible with the courage and determination of the stroke community.

Story

On 15th November 2018 I will be travelling to Nepal to trek to Everest Base Camp. The trek is a 124-kilometre round trip and involves a pretty hair raising flight, 11 days of hard trekking through some rough terrain and high suspension bridges - to finally reach Everest Base Camp at around 17,600ft.

For me, this trip is as much about fulfilling a life ambition as it is about raising money, so for this reason I'm self-funding - meaning 100% of donations received will go to the Stroke Association.

Thank you,

Ian :-)
