Please help elderly cat Felix get back on his paws

At twelve years and six months old Felix was brought in to the Isle of Wight Cats Protection after his owner sadly died. He’s dear little chap with a very serious thyroid problem. This week following the advice of our vets, he underwent a thyroidectomy to remove one of his glands which was causing him severe discomfort and impacting on his quality of life.

He is currently being nursed back to health by an experienced Cats Protection volunteer fosterer who is enjoying helping Felix to learn to play again. At his grand age, Felix will have a long road to recovery and we hope to find him a caring home for his retirement.

As you can imagine, an operation like this can cost a significant amount for our charity, in this case in excess of £500. Cats Protection receives no government funding, therefore we rely solely on the donations of kind supporters to ensure cats like Felix get the best chance in life. We never put a healthy cat to sleep and Felix has a happy life ahead of him when we are able to find him a new home.
