Isabella's 2022 challenge - walking Hadrian's Wall in aid of Keech Hospice

Walking Hadrian’s wall · 6 April 2022
Hi, I'm Isabella and I am 10 years old.
In previous years I have raised money for The Royal British Legion by cycling the Leeds - Liverpool Canal and completing the National Three Peaks Challenge. This year I wanted to raise money for more personal charities, so have decided to raise money for Bolton Hospice and Keech Hospice, 2 charities I have a connection with.
Unfortunately, my Great Auntie Carole passed away in July 2021 with a terminal illness, as her health deteriorated Keech were a great help and support by providing respite care and emotional support for both her and her wife Liz and are still offering support to the rest of the family.
My Mum is a Unit Manager at Bolton NHS Foundation Trust hospital, and knows just how much help, support and care Bolton Hospice give to the community of Bolton. Some of her staff have also had family members who have needed Bolton Hospice's resources to help them through their time in need.
The challenge I have set myself this year is to walk the length of Hadrians Wall. I will do this walk in the Summer school holidays. The walk is 84 miles long and I will ascend 2000 meters over my journey on the UNESCO World Heritage Site. The wall goes between Bowness - on - Solway on the West coast to Wallsend on the East coast of England.
Thanks for reading about my challenge this year, any donations and messages of support will be gratefully received for two fantastic charities.
Much love,
Isabella x
