Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

What am I doing and why...

In August I will be shaving off half my hair to help raise money for CLAN. In additon, the hair will be donated to The Princess Trust who make wigs for young children facing cancer.

There are so many reasons why I am raising money for CLAN that there are too many to list. However, some of the key reasons are:

  • My dad has terminal lung cancer while my aunt is currently fighting breast cancer.
  • Cancer runs in my husbands family
  • I have friends who have lost a parent to cancer
  • CLAN is one of the few charities who understands that sometimes you want and need to get away from and talking about cancer
  • CLAN understand it can be hard to talk honestly and relax when you have young children and can provide childcare while you see a councillor or receive a treatment. Something which can be invaluable!

Put simply CLAN offers a level of support and a range of services which is invaluable to so many people fighting or impacted by cancer.
