Background

Just over two years ago Jez our skipper  rowed the Mid Atlantic in 39 days as part of a 6 man crew and set a new world record for the distance covered in 24hrs. This achievement inspired him  to plan this  challenge. He will skipper a four man crew to row the 2,100 miles around Britain non-stop and unaided with the goal of breaking the current record of twenty six days.

Jez, Nigel, Duncan and Rhys are rowing in aid of the Honeypot Children's Charity who offer respite breaks and outreach support to young carers and vulnerable children, many of whom would otherwise have nowhere to turn. Honeypot is unique in offering consistent support throughout childhood from the age of 5 until their 12th birthday. More details about Honeypots and the work they do can be found at www.honeypot.org.uk
