Story

Many of you will know that we lost Grandad Bill to cancer
back in November 2018, his last days were in the amazing care of the Sue Ryder nurses at St Johns Hospice Moggerhanger. I saw first hand the amazing care that they give all of their patients and I am raising money for the St John's Hospice to give something back. Loo

I have been lucky enough to be given the opportunity to run
the London Marathon 2021, I wanted to do something that I know my Grandad would’ve been proud of me for. The best thing about my Grandad was that he was so proud of his 12 grandchildren and he would do anything for any of us. I know that if he were still here today he would’ve given me so much support and he would’ve been standing at the finish line cheering me on.

Sue Ryder supports people through the most difficult times of their lives. Whether that’s a terminal illness, the loss of a loved one or a neurological condition – they’re there when it matters. Their doctors, nurses and carers give people the compassion and expert care they need to help them live the best life they possibly can.
