In 2019 CabbiesDoKilimanjaro were formed as a group of 3 London Taxi Drivers who were totally unfit and grossly overweight . In the course of a year we managed to lose 12 Stone between the 3 of us and 2 managed to summit Mount Kilimanjaro Africa's higest peak and raised £18000 for charity . In July 2021 we will be attempting to climb back to back mountains , Mount Meru and then meet a team of 10 other London Cabbies at the foot of Kilimanjaro with an aim to get as many of us onto the roof of Africa as possible . Our chosen charity this year is The London Taxi Drivers Fund For Children, one of the oldest Taxi Charities, formed in 1928, taking London's underprivileged and disabled children for rest bite days out and also helping financially challenged families . We were honoured to have been made Goodwill Ambassadors to Tanzania in October 2019 and are delighted to be sponsoring a Tanzanian children's community project with 25% of total funds raised .
