Story
Jamie, Team Leader for Fair Havens Hospice at Home, is becoming a #HavensHairHero and having almost 12 inches cut from his hair.
Jamie is known for his long hair and has decided to have his hair cut to support the hospice where he works. As well as raising vital funds for Havens Hospices, he will also be donating the hair to the Little Princess Trust.
The hair cut is planned for the end of July where Hospice at Home Nursing Assistant Sam, a former hairdresser, will have the huge task of cutting and styling Jamie’s new hair do.
Jamie said, “Families often say thank you to me, but they don’t need to thank me because caring for someone at the end of their life is an honour. I feel humbled working with my colleagues and the patients that I see every day. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else or doing anything else in my nursing career. I’ve decided to cut my hair because I want to do my bit towards the fundraising efforts to ensure that we can be here for the patients who will need us in the coming months and years."
