Jen Kaye VLM for St Helena Hospice

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
This will be my biggest physical challenge to date, and one I’m petrified about!! BUT, this is such a positive challenge for a worthy cause.
I’m running in memory of Anne Taylor who was my teaching mentor, and Gemma Edgar from our running community.
When visiting Anne, she found peace with her cancer, loved her visits from the various volunteers and services provided, and took solace from staff. To see the pictures of Gemma with her boys decorating the Christmas tree provided her family with lasting and magical moments I’m sure.
Furthermore this is in memory of my wonderful dad who was taken far too young. He took respite and hope from a different hospice, but enhances my perception of how importance this type of service is. To see the joy on his face from the care provided will never leave me; the respite it provided and the lovely nurses who cared so deeply for him. I’ll be thinking of you during every mile to give me the strength to keep going.
£2000 is extremely challenging during lockdown, so please help in any way you can.
