I started to raise money for St Luke’s Hospice in 2015 . After seeing the amazing end of life care friends and their family’s received at some of the worse times in their lives . I wanted to do something to support them and they pretty much rely Solely on charity to keep the Hospice going . I found out it costs £8614.00 a Day for the Hospice to provide the care it does so that was my Fundraising target !!! So far With the support of friends , customers and the local community i have managed to raise £6.966.71 for them , through various events an challenges . On the 1st of July I will take on the huge challenge of cycling from Lands End To John O Groats over a 2 week period. The total distance is actually 1029miles !! A group of 5 of us will be cycling between 55 -90 miles a day for 14 consecutive days from the bottom of the country to the top . This has been all organised by 2 of the other cyclists over the last 12 months and is completely self funded by Ourselves , so there is no set amount we have to raise and any money donated is just for the Hospice :)) This is a once in a lifetime experience which although I know is going to be amazing in parts, there’s also going to be parts that are going to break me physically and mentally and push me to my absolute limits but I’ll be peddling my heart out in Memory of Loved ones and that’s what will get me through that and the support I know I will receive of you all and raising awareness of the amazing work St Luke’s Hospice do !
