Story
Although I've been running a bit throughout the last year, it's been slow and steady pace, with minimal distance!
I'm setting myself this challenge as brain tumours are complex, and often devastating, and research into treating them is woefully underfunded. I hope this half marathon will help support those who are battling brain tumours, like my friend Calum, who depend on research to give them a fighting chance.
Calum been battling a brain tumour for six years and throughout it all, he continues to be positive, hopeful and resilient. Sadly Calum's last 10 months of chemotherapy didn't work, and he will now continue on another chemo long-term in the hope that research will provide another treatment option in the future. The work that The Brain Tumour Charity do is vital for people like Calum, so if you're able to support, it would be hugely appreciated.
