Story
This is my dog Toto. Toto came into my life when she was hit by a car and left on the side of the road to die. A kind stranger brought her to the vets I worked at but unfortunately no owner came forward. Toto suffered unrepairable damage to her right eye which had to be removed and also a fractured pelvis.
I fell in love with her straight away, so after performing lifesaving surgery I decided to take her home to recover until we found her a new owner. At the time I was unable to keep a dog in my rented flat so I was smuggling her in and out in a Tesco's shopping bag!
Toto soon became part of the family and I soon realised she wasn't going anywhere! She moved with us to Cornwall, where I set up my own veterinary practice and she is now enjoying a real Cornish life with no more Tesco's carrier bags! I also adopted another dog called Hank at just 6 months of age after his owner realised she no longer had time for him.
The three of us enjoy running together every day and so I decided to sign up for the London Marathon this year ( I think Toto and Hank will give that run a miss though!) to help raise money for the Blue cross who help animals who are less fortunate as Toto and Hank.
