TMBU Fund

Joanne Hall is raising money for My University Hospitals Sussex

Lauren’s Big Hair Cut · 28 October 2020

The TMBU Fund exists as a way for families to help premature or sick babies by giving directly to the frontline team at TMBU. Donations provide innovations and advancements in care that surpass what's available from core government funding.

Story

Lauren is now 21 and working hard at becoming an independent young adult . Unfortunately as beautiful and as long as her hair is , it is not manageable for Lauren on her own, so we are taking the decision to cut 15” off her hair .

We are going to donate the hair to the Little Princess Trust who make wigs for children who have suffered hair loss and extra long hair is hard to get .

As well as this we thought we would try and raise a little money along the way . The Trevor Mann baby unit was an amazing place when we were there over 20 years ago with Lauren’s sister and more recently two very special people to Lauren and our family has spent a long 3 months there too . Again the care was second to none and so we thought if we could raise £10 for each inch of hair Lauren is cutting off  it would be a little thank you for all they do .

Your gift to my fundraising page will help advance the care that these precious little ones receive by funding state-of-the-art equipment, environmental upgrades, advanced training for staff, and innovative research.Thank you so much for your generous contribution.
