My name is Joe Robison.

I am 86 years old and have been married for 65 years to my wife Evelyn. We met during the war at the age of 8 years, but it was a few years later the love story began WOW; so, I won’t tell you any more details.

War is terrible I know as I lost my Dad his plane got shot down over the North Sea and was never seen again but having said that if it was not for the War (tragic as it was) I would never have met my wonderful and loving wife Evelyn.

The last couple of years have been a nightmare: I lost my sister; my son Brian, and just recently my wife Evelyn all to Pancreatic Cancer which I support their charity Pancreatic Cancer UK.

That is why I have now decided I’m going to do a 10,000 ft Parachute Jump for their charity. Believe me this has not been an easy decision as I am scared of flying, but it’s for a good cause and I am sure all of you who had the time to read this has lost someone you love dearly, believe me I feel the sadness and heartache you are all going through. So, I am asking my friends, family and anyone who has been or know of anyone who has been affected by this terrible disease to support me in the fight for Pancreatic Cancer. I will be jumping at Peterlee Parachute Club, Shotton Colliery, Durham.
