Working with over 11,000 people with a sight impairment in Kent and surrounding areas, we’re one of the largest local sight loss charities in the UK. Our aims are to work to prevent avoidable sight loss, deliver excellent support services and help people to live independently.

Story

After Kate’s cycling accident in 2013 she was left with visual impairments. KAB supported her in understanding the implications of her new disability; advised her on support available; and provided resources and time to help her adapt and cope.

This challenge, on the 100th anniversary of KAB, is an opportunity to pay a little back. As well as cycling the length and breadth of the country, Kate is training to complete the London Marathon hopefully sometime in 2020! She is supported by Clair Williams her running guide who not only gives up her time to train with Kate, but then has no choice but to run the marathon with her attached to a strap! Must be mad!
