Fundraising for Mind
Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I am working towards raising awareness of what is becoming an epidemic in the UK and helping those suffering with mental health issues.
I am aiming to take on 20 different challenges by the end of 2020 which will hopefully raise funds for the charity to support those in need.
#1 challenge: taking part in the BFC Runaway challenge on the 26th Feb - Newcastle v Burnley - running on day 3 on the way to St.James's Park - COMPLETE! 20 miles covered.
#2 challenge : Sheffield half-marathon - April
#3 challenge : Miles for Mind (200 miles to cover in the month of May) - May
#4 challenge : Blackamoor race - June
#5 challenge: Yorkshire 3 Peaks - Sept
#6 challenge: Exterminator (sounds painful!) - Sept
#7 challenge: Yorkshire 10 miler (York) - Oct
Many more to follow and some may drop in earlier too.
It won't all be physical challenges (thankfully!), I am looking at writing some children's story books too - this project has kick-started, so I will keep you updated and where you can purchase when finished - ha ha! Might even get a tattoo, work on my pain threshold though!
Additionally, I will also be supporting Breast Cancer Care as a charity for some of these challenges as this is currently impacting a friend of mine and we need to do whatever we can to beat it.
