Story

Hi

My name is Joshua.......but, you can call me Joshie!

I'm 6 months old, and I will be taking part in my first ever sponsored event for EACH. On the 28th October, I will be taking part in the Felixstowe Glow Walk in aid of EACH. The walk will be 2 miles long, as i'm only just a little baby, i obviously won't be walking this. But my parents will be pushing me along, and we will be dressed as pumpkins!

I am raising money in memory of my big brother James Paul Rawlings, who was born on 28th April 2016 at 5.45am, weighing 7lbs 11oz.

Due to serious problems during labour, he was sadly not expected to live past a couple of days old.

My big brother James had other ideas and bravely fought for 18 days, sadly losing his fight on 16th May 2016.

The Treehouse have been been amazing and have supported my mummy and daddy over the last 18 months.

All donations received will go towards EACH in memory of James, to help support the running costs for their hospices across East Anglia.

OK.......where to start?! Thank you so much for your messages of support over the last week........ So.....we are now at EACH Treehouse hospice, it seems James didn't want to donate his organs afterall, and he's still here with us hanging in there just! He shouldn't be here, as there is no brain activity, and no one expected him to continue breathing for long once he was taken off the machines! There was a 3 hr window for the organ donor, and James decided he had other ideas. There is no way he will pull through, he's breathing is slowing down gradually and today his body temperature is cooling down. He doesn't have very long left at all. He is a real fighter and is hanging on in there. But the hospice have been fantastic and gave us something we thought we would never get, time to be a family. We will never be able to repay them for their support and kindness, and the gift they have given us to spend valuable time together with family and friends. So I guess that maybe we did get our miracle in a strange way?! I cannot even begin to tell you how proud we are of our son, even if he is here for a limited time xxx

Thank you for reading x
