Katie's Lymphoedema Fund · 20 July 2017

We raise money solely to support The Royal Marsden, a world-leading cancer centre. From funding state-of-the-art equipment and ground-breaking research, to creating the very best patient environments, we will never stop looking for ways to improve the lives of people affected by cancer.

Story

Katie’s Lymphoedema Fund was set up to support The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity in memory of Katie Wohlrab Oliver (1966 – 2001).
The Fund aims to train NHS practitioners in the management and treatment of Lymphoedema, thus increasing the availability of therapists which is still extremely limited.

2018 London Marathon

We're delighted that Brian Edge is running the 2018 London Marathon to support Katie's Lymphoedema Fund!

A message from Brian:

On Sunday 22 April I will be running my first London Marathon on behalf of Katie’s Lymphoedema Fund (KLF) and the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.

Training has not been easy. I started over Christmas in -35C cold and 20 cm of snow in Toronto. A week later I was running between motorcycles in the 35C heat and monsoon humidity of Jakarta. So much sweat! It has been tough but with 2 weeks to go I am feeling ready.

While I prepare for what London has to throw at me I’d like to kindly ask for any support possible from friends and family for KLF. Your donations will help train NHS staff to treat and support those diagnosed with lymphoedema - like my family friend Katie Wohlrab.

Thank you for any and all support and wish me luck!
