This September, I am doing The Great North Run to raise money for Kirkwood Hospice in Huddersfield, in memory of our wonderful mum, Carol Beckett. 

Mum struggled through cancer in the spring of last year and died at Kirkwood Hospice on July 20th. The care and support given to mum and to our family during her stay at the hospice was incredible, and we owe all of the staff and volunteers a huge debt of gratitude for helping us through a terrible time with kindness and compassion. 

I can’t begin to describe how much we miss mum, and the pain of losing her too soon doesn’t seem to subside. Please help us keep her memory alive and, at the same time, raise vital funds for Kirkwood, so that they can continue to do such an amazing job in creating a place of calm and comfort for patients and families.
