The Joshua Tree support and improve the emotional well-being and mental health of all family members affected by childhood cancer, in the North-West of England and North Wales. We offer support during and post treatment. All our support services are free to the families.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In 2010 , my gorgeous Son who was 5 at the time was diagnosed with Leukaemia . As you can imagine...watching your Child go through Chemotherapy is incredibly distressing and it does affect the whole family. During Chemotherapy it can be a very scary time with a roller coaster of emotions to deal with. The Joshua Tree supports families affected by Childhood Cancer , not only during treatment , but also after.

For me personally this year the Joshua Tree has supported me by providing a Councillor to help me open up and come to terms with the trauma having a Child diagnosed with Cancer. Through the fantastic support I have received from the Councillor I have had the confidence to not only deal with the trauma but also produce my first blog to share with others my personal experiences of dealing with trauma and also sharing what life was and is like from diagnosis , treatment through to the present day.

By taking on my first Cycling Sportive I am combining two things that are very important to me..... Cycling and helping others through fundraising .

All My Love
