Story
Hi, I’m Ken Jones, and I’m taking up three challenges in support of ABF The Soldiers’ Charity.
The charity provides a lifetime of support to soldiers and veterans from the British Army, and their immediate families, when they are in need.
I’m not normally one to publicly support a charity. But after reading about the great work of The Soldiers’ Charity and after having met one of those brave veterans who has been helped by the Charity – a soldier severely injured on the frontline – I’ve felt the need to make a contribution.
I’ve chosen challenges on land, in the air and in the water to present the three branches of the British Armed Forces – the British Army, the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy:
- The Flintshire 5k run on 20th Oct 2019;
- a 10,000 foot skydive at Tilstock in July 2020, and;
- the Dee Mile Swim in Aug 2021.
See progress updates at the bottom of this page.
Please donate as little or as much as you can to support ABF The Soldiers' Charity. All money goes towards the Charity – all entry fees, equipment and all other associated costs for me participating in the events are covered by myself.
Lastly, we ask so much of our servicemen and women. The least we can do is support them in times of need. To any servicemen and women, or veterans, reading this ...
Thank you for fighting our enemies on the battlefield, so we don’t have to.
Thank you for your strength.
Thank you for risking it all, when called upon.
THANK YOU.
