Rhino Ark raises money for the building of electric eco-fences around mountain ecosystems in Kenya, namely Aberdare National Park, Mt. Kenya and Mau Eburu. These provide an "ark" for wildlife such as rhino, leopard, elephant and mountain bongo as well as protecting vital upland watertables of Kenya

Story

In 2015, Daniel and Tom climbed Nelion together, the 2nd highest peak on Mt. Kenya. At the time, they vowed to have further adventures. Roll forwards to 2022, and they will both be 50. They decided to travel across Kenya under their own steam, combining passions for sailing, cycling and the great outdoors.

We plan to be "on the go" for about 3 months, but to do the journey over the year, to fit with family commitments and the weather. You can read more and follow our progress at www.lamutojadesea.blogspot.com

A number off people asked if we would be raising money for anything. As we travel through the amazing landscape, Rhino Ark seemed a natural choice. They will plant a tree for every £0.75 pence that we raise. Our initial target is to plant 10 trees for every km we travel, that's about 16,000 trees. Kenya has amazing forest landscapes - let's help restore those that are degraded.

If you are in Kenya you can use Rhino Ark's Pay Bill number on Mpesa 855995 with Account "LamuToJadeSea".

Rhino Ark raises money for tree planting and conservation in mountain ecosystems around Kenya, including the Aberdare National Park, Mt. Kenya and the Eburu Forest . This provides an "ark" for wildlife such as rhino, leopard, elephant and mountain bongo but also safeguards vital upland water-table resources for much of the country.
