Story

CHARITABLE FUNDRAISING – Brave the Hair Cut and Shave

LASP Outdoors braves the shave and hair cut for a good cause

This outdoor education and recreation enthusiast and
provider is going the extra mile and has organised this charity fundraising on Saturday
8th July from 11.30 am

LASP would like to invite you to come and try canoeing or kayaking
at Morpeth Riverside and make a donation for his chosen Charity... Little PrincessTrust

Luis from LASP OUTDOORS will be cutting his long hair that he
has been wearing and weaving for over 20 years, all for a good cause, donating it to the Little Princess Trust for them to make a natural hair wig that would be given free to a boy or girl with no hair.

Little Princess Trust is a Charity organization that dedicates to research causes of cancer on Children and to provide free of cost wigs to boys and girls that might have lost their hair due to cancer, their treatment
and or any other illness that may have caused them to have no hair.

How to help... and donate?  The simplest way is to visit "Luis Alberto's LASP OUTDOORS Brave the Hair Cut and Shave" Just giving page and just donate. You could, also come to Morpeth Riverside on the 8th of July between 11.30 am and 1.30pm and part take on to a taster session on open canoeing or kayaking with all proceedings going towards Little Princess Trust

You can also come along to the riverside between the above at times to watch the show and do a donation on to Little Princess Trust Charity Box.

Also you could have fun through the time lapse while LASP is
getting shaved and a hair cut... and if you are brave enough and want to, you could even have a go at cutting some Hair or Shaving some of his Beard.

Luis says: "It is great to have organised this and now I am
really excited about the whole event and proud to have chosen doing it for this cause ... I have let my beard grown this big several times and have done other fundraising on the past, but this is the greatest one as is the first time I am cutting my hair as well. I have had long hair covering my neck since over 2 decades ago, so it is going to feel weird! But all for a good motive!"

A friend though it would be funny and wanted me to shave
beard and them go to see my 1 year old daughter because my friend have seen few videos on F/B and the children reaction is spectacular, but I am not prepared to put her through that shock, so she will be near me while I having it shaved so it smoothness the transition and gets her used to my new looking straight away and hopefully without much of  a shock”

Mythological and mystical, fan of the Samson tale, however,  powerful enough to belief that my hair cut will not deprive me from any power but it will provide others with an extra bit of strength as they are going through the tough time that must be fighting such an illness and treatment that make you lose your hair... especially when you have not had the chance to live life! So, if there is any Samson strength in my hair, off it goes to endurance others that need it ... mine will grow again!

I look forward to seeing you  by the river on Saturday.
