At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

At MettaBox we're supporting CLIC Sargent to help raise awareness and vital funds for childhood cancer.

Recent research show that on average a family has to travel 60 miles one way to receive treatment at one of only 18 treatment centre across the U.K meaning that costs add up very quickly and can cost families up to £600 every month whilst in active treatment.

Our CrossFit Kids are taking part in CLIC Sargents challenge 60 when they will attempt to row 60 miles in 60 minutes.

Alfie Reed a self-confessed fitness fanatic was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia (ALL) at 18 years old. Following his shock diagnosis, Alfie underwent two years of treatment and was supported by CLIC Sargent throughout.
After finishing his treatment and as soon as he was able to following his treatment, Alfie joined his local CrossFit Box to get his fitness back.

Alfie has come up with a WOD - ‘Alfie’s Workout of the Day’ a challenge with reps and exercises based around his story in the hope to bring the CrossFit community together, raise funds for the charity and get fit at the same time.

On Saturday 22nd September we our adults and children alike will be doing what we do best-Being active, working together, supportinga nd encouraging each other whilst raising awareness and funds for such a worthy cause,
