At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Some of the little things before dementia.....

My Nanny always took pride in her appearance. She made sure she had her weekly shampoo & set and she also had beautiful long nails, which were always painted.

I always remember car journeys with nanny. Without fail she always had mint polo's, wouldn't be a car trip without them.

My nanny was always very social and would be down the local Bowls club with my Granddad organising events, raffles and sorting the teas & coffees.

My Nanny has had Dementia for 13 years now and over them years all the little things I remember about her have slowing gone, although her sweet tooth has never changed.

I am taking part in this event to help find a cure to stop them little things turn into just memories.
