In May 2016 my mother-in-law passed away after a very short yet brave battle with pancreatic cancer. Upon researching this awful disease, I was shocked at how low survival rates were, and how little improvement there has been with these over the last 40 years. I was also shocked at how poorly funded the charity was. 

I therefore started to look at ways of raising funds to support the work that the Pancreatic Cancer Research Fund does. With a couple of half-marathons under my belt (admittedly a long time ago) - a full marathon seemed the logical next step. So here I am - getting ready to take on 26 miles. I'm sure the training will be hard, particularly through the winter months - but I can't think of a greater motivation than raising valuable funds for such a fantastic cause. I hope that you agree, and are able to support me in some way.
