Story
Our service Lee Mount Care Home has a resident who is such a wonderful lady called Eve who is 101 years old on the 24th of May!
We had a little chat and talked about doing something to give back to the community on this very special occasion. I mentioned Overgate hospice and the amazing work they do & how they had been affected by the pandemic and Eve said "this definitely a worthy cause".
After further discussion, we came up with the idea to do 101 Laps for 101 years, around Shroggs park but would do this over 6 weeks as a collaborative team effort between all the staff & other residents at Lee Mount.
Eve's really excited about the fundraiser and is so looking forward to how much money we can raise for such a good cause. We will be raising funds between the 12th of April until the 24th of May. Eve's birthday will be the last day for donations, we are sure that we will have a massive total which will be an extra celebration in itself!
We hope that everyone will support Eve & the service in our quest to do something really amazing for Overgate hospice.
