My cycle for Alzheimer’s Society · 1 April 2021 to 31 March 2022 ·

At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Thanks for visiting our page!

On 23rd July we are cycling from Lands End to John O’Groats over 6 days. The total route is over 1,000 miles so we will be averaging around 170 miles a day.

Training has involved hundreds of miles, fixing punctures in the rain in a Kelso bus stop, numerous sausage sandwiches shivering in Seahouses and recently culminated in an epic coast-to-coast-to-coast 245 mile round trip across the country.

We have decided to try and raise a bit of money for the Alzheimer’s Society while we’re at it, given the damaging impact alzheimers has had on some of our close friends and family.

Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

Thanks for any contribution, big or small. All is much appreciated!
