Garden Gathering- love this place · 16 June 2018

Anyone can get Parkinson’s. It gets worse over time and there’s no cure. Yet. Funding research into the most promising treatments, we’re getting closer to a cure. Until then, we're improving life for people with Parkinson’s, and the people in their lives. Together we'll find a cure.

Story

Love This Place is my art show at Gosforth Civic Theatre, inspired by the women in my family, including my Mum who has Parkinsons.  The work includes photographs, prints, hand-made books and map-based pieces and tells the story of my emotional connection to Gosforth and the North east, and my love of North Country landscapes.

I wanted to organise a celebratory gathering while the show was up, so here it is- all are invited.  Whether or not you can come, you are welcome to donate here to help people affected by Parkinsons and their carers.

There will be live music, street food, stalls and book and clothes swaps, all at the lovely venue in the middle of Gosforth.  Following immediately afterwards Ellen Phethean is leading a creative writing workshop and poetry performance. Hope to see you but you can support the cause by donating here.
