Thankyou so much for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I first became aware of Sightsavers when seeing their advert on TV. It described the debilitating condition called trachoma which starts as a bacterial infection, similar to conjunctivitis. However, if it’s not treated, over time it causes scarring to the eyelid that pulls the eyelashes inward, so with every blink they scrape against the eye.  Personally, I know how excruciating it is when a contact lense sits in the wrong place in my eye so to try and imagine what people living with trachoma are going through is agonising. 

I realise in these unprecedented times there are many, many charities in need and you're being asked for your support and finances constantly. I ask that you sponsor my walk for any amount at all and understand you're helping a cause which needs it all year round. Sightsavers are helping the world's most vulnerable keep or return their sight whilst also fighting for the rights to education and employment for people with disabilities. Sightsavers is battling a pandemic that has been going on for years. 

I'll be walking the 153 miles between Plymouth and Land's End with my sister, Frances and my dog, Billie. We will be camping each night and carrying all the equipment with us. If there's any other information you'd like please don't hesitate to send me a message.
