Story

Hi everybody... I’m Lucas A.

I am not at school at the moment and I really really miss it. I miss my best friend Kaiden! (Hi Kaiden if you see this) and my teacher Miss Bailey.

My mummy tells me that we are all doing our bit to help save lives, by staying home and washing our hands. And I am very proud that we are abiding by the rules. I hope everybody stays safe.

Mummy says that even though the nurses and doctors at hospitals need everybodys help, charities all around us still need our help too. So I want to help hers. She works at Trinity Hospice. A place that looks after very poorly people in Blackpool, where I live.

I got a keyboard for my birthday and play on it everyday. But I don’t know how to play many songs...

SO FOR ONE WHOLE MONTH I AM GOING TO TEACH MYSELF TO PLAY.

Daddy will help me.

I will learn as many songs and tunes as I can, I hope that all of my friends and family will recognise some of them too. My mummy will share my learning on social media (whatever that is) and I really really hope you can support me and donate to Trinity.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

PLEASE NOTE: Lucas struggles to write full paragraphs as he is only 6 years old, so asked me (his mum) to help with writing and typing the above story. He is very excited to be helping a local charity and raising money for Trinity Hospice. Last year he took part in the Elf Run to raise money for Brian House Children's Hospice - so is not shy of a challenge. Please share his story and if you can donate whatever you can, to help him reach his fundraising target.

About the charity
