Lucius's Longest Wimbledon Tennis Match Challenge 11hrs & 5mins

Longest Wimbledon Tennis Match Challenge (11-hours & 5-Minutes) · 29 June 2020
It was during a tour of Wimbledon stadium in Summer 2019 when Lucius, a 7-year old aspiring tennis junior from Caterham, first heard about the longest ever tennis match played; 11-hours 5-minutes
Further inspired during lockdown by '100 Volley Challenge' set by Andy Murray; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oGF57mfkD-8
Lucius didn't want to stop there, he wanted to challenge himself with a tennis-athon. So what better way to mark the 10th anniversary of the longest ever tennis match than this epic challenge;
Lucius has set himself the challenge of playing continuous tennis for a total of 11hrs and 5mins on the 'would have' been start of Wimbledon 2020 on Monday 29th June from 09:00 - 20:05 against his Dad.
The attempt will be held at Reedham Park Tennis Club in partnership with Cooper Tennis Coaching.
Lucius is fundraising for Caterham Foodbank who have seen an unfortunate 300% rise in three day emergency food supplies given to local people referred to the foodbank in 2020 compared to 2019, cash raised will go towards stocking items in short supply and other essential costs. The doubly nice bonus is that money raised will be *matched by Dad's employer (*up to £6,000)
Let's get behind Lucius by sending as many virtual high-5's & donations for Caterham Foodbank
Target set as £1,105 to mark 11hrs 05mins
In keeping with the Wimbledon theme, this JustGiving page will remain live until Sunday 12th July (The ‘would-be’ Wimbledon Finals day).
Many Thanks,
Lucius
