Two years ago my Grandie died of something called pancreatic cancer.  It is a horrible disease that affects your pancreas.  My Grandie got poorly very quickly and died only a few weeks after we found out what was wrong with him.  

I really miss Grandie and so does everybody else.  He was kind and full-of-fun and we all loved him very much. 

Only a quarter of people that are diagnosed with pancreatic cancer live for more than a year after they are diagnosed, and fewer than one in ten live for more than 5 years.  The percentage of people surviving pancreatic cancer has hardly changed in 50 years.

Pancreatic Cancer Action is a national charity that is working on improving early diagnosis of pancreatic cancer and improving the quality of life for people affected by it.

I am swimming an Aqua Marathon (26.2 miles) during 2018 to raise money for Pancreatic Cancer Action in memory of my Grandie.
