Story
Inspired by the amazing Nicholls family and their son Charlie, Mandy is running 7 Marathons in 7 days to help The Lily Foundation find a cure for this devastating disease.
Mandy stated with her first Marathon in 2011 and believe it or not has since then ran a whopping 114 full marathons despite breaking her hip at 19 miles on her 5th marathon and continued right to the end before going to hospital. This march Mandy will be running 7 marathons in 7 days for the Lily Foundation with Charlie Nicholls as her inspiration.
Charlie, a gorgeous 4 year living with Mitochondrial disease has touched the hearts of everyone he meets with his huge smile and love for
life. Mitochondrial disease affects the energy within cells all over the body causing organ failure. Charlie has severe Global developmental delay, is partially sighted due to Nystagmus and cannot communicate in any way. Due to sever Ataxia he cannot walk unaided but loves to charge around with his walking frame and climb causing chaos everywhere he goes. The money raised for the Lily Foundation will go towards researching this debilitating disease where currently the is unfortunately no cure.
She is a massive inspiration and is running these 7 races to
raise money and awareness for The Lily Foundation for Charlie Nicholls.
