The New Forest was a very special place for my family, regularly walking there with my Poppa during my teenage years and picnicking there with the whole family. Sadly, Poppa passed 10 years ago and Nan passed last year. Nan wanted money at her funeral to go to Gift of Sight after they helped her when her eyesight was failing. It was thanks to them that she could still enjoy her later years and allowed her to see her great granddaughters. 

Gift of Sight funds world-class research into the prevention and treatment of blindness. Principal areas of research are Age-related macular degeneration, the commonest cause of blindness in the Western world, Glaucoma, Nystagmus and diabetic eye disease which is an increasing cause of visual impairment.

I hope the money raised to go to others to help them get the best from their later lives.
